Member Meetings
Women Graduates–USA is a nonprofit organization whose members are college and university graduates, graduate students, doctoral candidates and post-doctoral researchers. As members of WG–USA, our members are also members of Graduate Women International; WG–USA is the US Affiliate of GWI. Our international perspective informs our advocacy for social and economic justice for all women and girls.
Women Graduates–USA mission, vision, education, advocacy and action are inspired by its members, governed by Policies, Procedures and Bylaws, and guided by the Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors meets monthly and WG–USA members and leaders meet throughout the year:
WG–USA actively educates its members and partners with webinars, webcasts and seminars
WG–USA convenes “Town Hall” sessions to engage members and leaders in discussion of emerging issues for the organization and its core issues.
WG–USA convenes its in-person Annual Conference. The agenda is driven by issues-oriented presentations are made by guest speakers and members, and members enjoy time for collegial and passionate discussions.
WG-USA convenes its Annual General Meeting each fall to conduct the business of the organization. Within the multi-day agenda, elections are held, financial reports and the coming year’s budget are presented,
WG–USA provides orientation meetings for its new and continuing leadership each year.
WG–USA members participate in external partner conferences and meetings of organizations with shared goals.
WG–USA is represented by its UN Liaisons and members at conferences and events at the United Nations.
WG–USA is represented by its Coordinators for International Relations to Graduate Women International meetings, conferences and events. CIR’s and leadership join fellow GWI member national federations and associations throughout the year for education, advocacy and collaboration on shared goals.
