Call for Suggestions for IFUW Special Committees

The IFUW Board of Officers is pleased to invite each national federation and association (NFA) to suggest candidates for the IFUW Hegg Hoffet Committee and the IFUW Projects Development Committee.  Both are special committees, whose members will be appointed by the incoming Board of Officers during the 30th IFUW Conference in Mexico City.

WG-USA invites its members to consider submitting their name for consideration by the WG-USA Board of Directors. The deadline for submission to Kathleen Laurila, WG-USA Coordinator International Relations is 14 April 2010.

The Hegg Hoffet Committee allocates and promotes grants that provide assistance for graduate women (in special cases tertiary women students) who have been displaced as a result of war, political upheaval or other serious emergencies.

The Projects Development Committee is a technical advisory body responsible for assisting NFAs in the development and implementation of viable, sustainable community development and capacity building projects addressing IFUW goals and priorities.

IFUW Opens the Next Round of Applications for Fellowships

The International Federation of University Women (IFUW) offers a limited number of international fellowships and grants to women graduates for postgraduate research, study and training. Applications are now requested for study during April 2011 – December 2012.The fellowships and grants are open to members of Women Graduates-USA and as an affiliate of IFUW we are allowed to submit up to four (4) applications. The WG-USA Board of Directors will receive applications from any WG-USA member through 28 August 2010. Those applicants which the Board endorses will be forwarded to IFUW by the deadline of 1December 2010. The final selections by the IFUW Fellowships and Grants Committee should be completed by February 2011.
